Woodland is a charming small town, but with many amenities and attractions to offer. Considered as the southern gateway to Mt. St. Helens, it is close to Vancouver and Portland, and a short trip away from Mt. Rainier, Mt. Hood, the Oregon Coast, Crater Lake, Cascade Mountains, and the Columbia River. Woodland has steadily grown, attracting people looking for laid-back, country living, family-friendly amenities, and plenty of outdoor activities. Neighborhoods such as Cedar Creek, Holly Hill, Little Kalama, Raspberry Park, Woodland, and Horseshoe Park are sought-after.
The city has seen many new restaurants open shop and offers a wide variety of cuisines. The Lewis River features spectacular falls and hiking trails. You can hike the lower section of the river and find old-growth fir, cedar, wildflowers, gnome plant, and some ancient plant varieties you won’t find anywhere else. In and around the city, there are many community and neighborhood parks to visit, such as Hoffman Park, Bratton Canyon, and Goerig Park.
