A Beautiful Partnership: Bringing Care and Compassion to Foster Youth

At TMG Cares, we believe in the power of community, compassion, and connection. We're thrilled to highlight a recent collaboration that embodies all three—a partnership with the inspiring women of 100 Women Who Care of Portland, united in support of youth in foster care through a heartfelt mini compassion supply drive.

A Simple Ask, A Powerful Response

At their April 8th meeting, members of 100 Women Who Care were asked to bring nail care items to benefit Project Lemonade, a local nonprofit dedicated to supporting and empowering foster youth. The idea was simple: provide items that could help these young people feel pampered, valued, and seen.

The response? Absolutely incredible.

These generous women donated over 974 items, including:

Vibrant nail polish
Soothing hand masks
Nourishing cuticle oils
Luxurious spa-quality lotions

Each item carries with it a powerful message: You matter. You are worthy of kindness. You deserve care.

From Donations to Spotlight Bags

Next, our TMG Cares volunteers will get to work assembling these donations into “Spotlight Bags”—thoughtfully curated care packages designed to bring joy and a sense of self-worth to the youth who receive them. Once assembled, these bags will be delivered to Project Lemonade, where they’ll soon be in the hands of foster youth ready to enjoy a little self-care and a lot of love.
