TMG Cares Team Joins Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk

Teaming Up to Spread Awareness for Breast Cancer

October 20, 2024  |  Enthusiastic employees from the TMG Family of Companies, along with friends and family members, recently formed The Rack Pack, a group of compassionate participants in Portland's Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk. The team met up at the University of Portland on this sunny Sunday morning in October to raise awareness and funds for breast cancer research and to support survivors and those currently undergoing treatment.

Many in the group have had close personal relationships with a breast cancer survivor or have sadly experienced losing someone to the disease. The walk, which meandered around the beautiful University of Portland Campus awash in the colors of autumn served not only as a fundraiser for breast cancer research, but also as an emotional wave of support rallying around women facing this difficult diagnosis and a powerful reminder that those affected by breast cancer are present throughout our entire community.

At the walk, dozens of survivors were recognized by being given flowers and several women gave emotional and empowering speeches about their journeys, including the depth of challenges they endured and peaks of triumphs they had along the way.

TMG Cares is proud to have been a part of this impactful walk, which raised $98,685 in total and is just one among many spread across the United States in October, a month dedicated to Breast Cancer Awareness.
