TMG Cares Volunteers Hop Over to Brookdale Memory Care to Spread Spring Cheer to Residents
March 30, 2024 |Spring is a time of renewal and joy, and what better way to celebrate than by spreading happiness to those who may need it most? Recently, a group compassionate TMG Cares volunteers from the TMG Family of Companies had the honor of attending Brookdale Memory Care's Spring Event, where they brought laughter, creativity, and spring cheer to 72 memory care residents.
Bringing Joy, Smiles and Fun!
The event was filled with delightful activities that brought out the inner child in everyone. From egg dying to cupcake decorating, arts and crafts to cake pop decorating, there was something for everyone to enjoy. However, the highlight of the day was undoubtedly the residents' favorite: BINGO for eggs filled with candy! The excitement in the room was palpable as residents eagerly awaited their chance to win sweet treats.
As TMG Cares volunteers, our mission is to make a positive impact in the lives of others, and that's exactly what we set out to do at Brookdale Memory Care. Throughout the event, our volunteers served with smiles on their faces and took the time to visit with each resident, spreading warmth and companionship.
The residents' enthusiasm was contagious, and it was heartwarming to see how much joy our presence brought to them. Many of them shared stories, laughter, and hugs, creating cherished memories that will last long beyond the spring season.
Small Moments of Connection Add Up to Make a Big Impact
For the TMG Cares volunteers, the experience was equally rewarding. Being able to connect with the residents on a personal level and seeing the joy on their faces reaffirmed the importance of giving back to our community. It's moments like these that remind us of the power of human connection and the impact that small acts of kindness can have on the lives of others.
In the end, it's not just about the activities or the prizes; it's about the sense of belonging, joy, and companionship that we were able to bring to the residents of Brookdale Memory Care.
