Spreading Joy and Raising Funds for Seriously Ill Children
Volunteers from TMG Cares recently had the honor of attending the Chelsea Hicks Seas the Day Ball, an event filled with fun, plenty of sea-worthy costumes, and heartwarming fundraising to support The Chelsea Hicks Foundation.
Throughout the night, a group of dedicated TMG Cares volunteers played key roles in the live and online auctions, helping organize auction items, assisting with the bidding process as spotters, and distributing auction prizes. They also helped run the popular wine wall, where attendees paid $25 to do a blind pull of a bottle from an entire wall of wine, with the chance to pull one of several very valuable bottles amongst them.
The funds raised at the event will help the Chelsea Hicks Foundation continue on with the amazing work that they do. This fabulous foundation has been bringing smiles and joy to seriously ill children since 2009. Through their amazing Chelsea's Closet program, teams bring a myriad of fun and fabulous costumes to children in hospitals as they and their families undergo some of the hardest moments of their lives. They're offered a respite from the serious day to day treatments as they play, participate in parades around the hospital halls, and let their minds disappear into a welcomed world of whimsical imagination.
TMG Cares is proud to support such an inspiring cause, helping make a difference in the lives of these brave children.
